Chocolate Orange Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
Yeast mixture
- 115 ml almond milk
- 70 g flour or gluten-free flour
- 1 heaping teaspoon yeast
Dough
- 115 ml almond milk
- 115 g melted vegan butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
- 200 g flour
- A pinch of salt
Filling
- 3 tablespoons soft vegan butter
- 4 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Grated orange zest
Preparation
Mix all ingredients from the yeast mixture in a bowl and cover it. Let it rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Add the ingredients from the dough ingredients and knead well. Cover the bowl again and let it rest for another 30 minutes in a warm place.
Roll out the dough into a flat square shape.
Mix the ingredients for the filling in a small bowl and spread it over the dough.
Roll up the dough and cut into slices. Place them in a baking dish. Optionally, brush with some vegan butter.
Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25 minutes in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius. Finish with extra orange.
