Chocolate Orange Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

Yeast mixture

  • 115 ml almond milk
  • 70 g flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 heaping teaspoon yeast

Dough

  • 115 ml almond milk
  • 115 g melted vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • A pinch of salt

Filling

  • 3 tablespoons soft vegan butter
  • 4 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Grated orange zest

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients from the yeast mixture in a bowl and cover it. Let it rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.

  2. Add the ingredients from the dough ingredients and knead well. Cover the bowl again and let it rest for another 30 minutes in a warm place.

  3. Roll out the dough into a flat square shape.

  4. Mix the ingredients for the filling in a small bowl and spread it over the dough.

  5. Roll up the dough and cut into slices. Place them in a baking dish. Optionally, brush with some vegan butter.

  6. Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25 minutes in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius. Finish with extra orange.
