Easy Vegan Carbonara Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 1/2 cups (625ml) plant milk
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 Tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)
  • 400g pasta

Preparation

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.

  2. Fry the onion in olive oil until soft.

  3. Add the flour and stir until crumbly.

  4. Add the plant milk while stirring constantly.

  5. Let the sauce simmer for 5-10 minutes.

  6. Combine the sauce with the cooked pasta and serve.
