Sausage with Mash and Caramelised Onion Gravy

Ingredients

  • 3 Vivera plant-based sausages
  • Asda Marabel potatoes
  • Chives
  • Onion salt
  • Brown onions
  • Knorr mushroom stockpot
  • Water
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • Tender stem broccoli

Preparation

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes, then boil for 18 minutes.

  2. Mash the boiled potatoes and mix with a little of the cooking water, chives, and a little onion salt.

  3. Slice the brown onions and fry slowly with a lid on for 20 to 30 minutes to caramelise.

  4. Dissolve the mushroom stockpot in water and add to the caramelised onions, then thicken with 1 tablespoon cornflour.

  5. Cook the Vivera plant-based sausages until browned and done.

  6. Boil the tender stem broccoli in salted water for 2 to 3 minutes.

  7. Serve the sausages with mashed potatoes, caramelised onion gravy, and broccoli.
