Simple Balsamic Glazed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 7 oz (200g) mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tbsp tamari
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1/3 cup edamame

Preparation

  1. Boil the mushrooms in a saucepan for about 5 minutes until they are cooked through.

  2. Sauté the onion in a non-stick frying pan for 2-3 minutes until softened.

  3. Prepare the sauce by stirring together tamari, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, water, and cornflour.

  4. Drain and rinse the mushrooms.

  5. Transfer the mushrooms to the frying pan and add the sauce.

  6. Stir over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  7. Serve the dish.
