Tempeh Bacon Bagel Sandwich
Ingredients
- Bagel
- Avocado
- Tomato
- Cucumber
- Romaine lettuce
Tempeh bacon
- 1 block organic tempeh
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp tamari sauce
- 1 tbsp maple or date syrup
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Preparation
Mix all the marinade ingredients and slice the tempeh into strips.
Marinate the tempeh in a shallow covered container for at least a few hours or overnight for the best results.
Pan-fry the tempeh slices in a non-stick pan over medium heat until browned and slightly crispy on both sides.
Slice the bagel in half and assemble by adding avocado, tomato, cucumber, romaine lettuce, and the prepared tempeh bacon.
