Toasted Sesame and Roasted Red Pepper Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 4 mini sweet peppers
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame dairy-free cheese spread
  • 1 tablespoon sun-dried tomato pesto with fermented onions and vegetables
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Hemp hearts
  • Fresh herbs

Preparation

  1. Roast garlic wrapped in foil with a drizzle of olive oil at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes.

  2. Remove stems and seeds from mini sweet peppers and roast them for 15 minutes, tossing halfway through.

  3. Toast the bread slices.

  4. Top the toast with toasted sesame dairy-free cheese spread, sun-dried tomato pesto, roasted peppers, roasted garlic, fresh herbs, a sprinkle of hemp hearts, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Notes

  1. This recipe makes two generous slices of toast.
