Vegan Pizza with Fresh Veggie Toppings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 cup of warm water
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1 cup of vegan cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup of sliced red onions
  • 1/4 cup of sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt

  2. Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, mix to form a dough

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth

  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled

  5. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and prepare a baking sheet or pizza stone

  6. Roll out the dough into a circle or rectangle on a floured surface

  7. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough

  8. Sprinkle vegan cheese over the sauce

  9. Add sliced cherry tomatoes, black olives, red onions, bell peppers, and fresh basil on top

  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted
