Caramelized Banana Baked Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup almond milk

Caramelized bananas

  • 1/2 banana
  • Butter or coconut oil (as needed)
  • Cinnamon (to sprinkle)

Preparation

  1. Mix the mashed banana, rolled oats, ground flaxseed, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and almond milk together in a bowl

  2. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake at 375°F for approximately 20 minutes.

  3. Slice the remaining half of the banana.

  4. Caramelize the banana slices on medium heat with butter or coconut oil, sprinkle with cinnamon, and cook for about 3 minutes on each side.
