Chocolate Dipped Frozen Bananas
Ingredients
- 3 bananas (150g each)
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp almonds, chopped
- 2 tbsp pistachios, chopped
- 2 tsp cacao nibs
Preparation
Line a tray with parchment paper. Cut three bananas in half, and insert popsicle sticks into each half. Place on tray and put bananas in the freezer for 15 minutes to chill
Add 2 inches water to a small saucepan and bring to simmer. Place a heatproof glass bowl on top of the pot, making sure the bottom of the bowl is not touching the simmering water. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips with coconut oil to the bowl. Stir gently until chocolate is smooth and melted
Dip banana in dark chocolate, rolling to coat entirely
Then sprinkle with toppings (chopped almonds, pistachios or cacao nibs)
Continue until you have made all your chocolate dipped bananas
Then, place in the freezer to chill entirely (at least 30 minutes)
