Crepe with Net Design

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon corn oil
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

For serving

  • clotted cream
  • mixed nuts
  • syrup

Preparation

  1. In a blender pitcher, place the egg, vanilla, oil, milk, flour, salt, and turmeric. Blend on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until you get a liquid and smooth dough.

  2. Using a plastic tube with a small opening, fill it with some of the crepe mixture.

  3. On medium heat, heat a wide skillet.

  4. Pour the crepe mixture in a net shape into the skillet and wait a few seconds until the surface dries, then flip to the other side. Be careful not to burn it as it cooks quickly.

  5. Transfer the crepe to a wide plate and repeat with the remaining dough.

  6. For the filling: In a deep plate, place the clotted cream, pistachios, and almonds. Mix to combine.

  7. For serving: Place 2 tablespoons of the filling in each crepe sheet, then roll into an envelope or wrap shape as desired.

  8. Distribute a little clotted cream on each crepe piece, garnish with nuts, and serve immediately with syrup as desired.
