Decadent Chocolate Mousse Brownie Slice

Ingredients

For the Base

  • 1/2 cup Applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Sugar/Sweetener (@natvialiving)
  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Protein Powder (@macr0mike - d/c “amb-han”)
  • 1/3 cup Self Raising Flour
  • Pinch of Salt

For the Mousse

  • 150g Silken Tofu
  • 100g Dark Chocolate (melted)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. In a bowl, combine applesauce, sugar, and almond milk. Stir to combine.

  3. Sift in the chocolate protein powder, self-raising flour, and a pinch of salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated.

  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. Allow the base to cool completely before frosting.

  5. To make the mousse frosting, blend the silken tofu until smooth. Stir in the melted dark chocolate and maple syrup until well combined.

  6. Pour the mousse frosting over the cooled base, spreading it evenly.

  7. Place the slice in the fridge and let it set before slicing into 9 pieces.
