Decadent Chocolate Brownies with a Mindful Twist
Ingredients
- 180g all-purpose flour
- 80g sugar
- 75ml cacao powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla powder
- 1 espresso shot (around 25-30ml)
- 120ml plant-based milk (e.g., oat milk)
- 150ml oil (coconut or rapeseed) or melted margarine
- Chocolate chips or chocolate cut into squares
- Sea salt
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cacao powder, salt, and vanilla powder.
Add the espresso shot, plant-based milk, and oil (or melted margarine) to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
Fold in some chocolate chips to the batter.
Grease a pie or cake form and pour the batter into it.
Place additional chocolate chips on top of the batter and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes. If you prefer a fudgy texture, aim for around 15-17 minutes.
To test if the brownies are done, insert a toothpick or knife into the center – it should come out mostly clean or with a few moist crumbs if you like them fudgy.
Allow the brownies to cool for a while before enjoying. For an even better experience, refrigerate them.
