Easy 5-Ingredient Vanilla Pudding
Ingredients
- 500 ml milk
- 1 vanilla pod
- 60 g sugar
- 2 egg yolks (medium)
- 25 g cornstarch
Preparation
Bring milk to a boil in a pot. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with the back of a knife. Add the seeds and the pod to the milk
Whisk sugar with egg yolks, cornstarch, and 3 tablespoons of the milk until smooth. Remove the boiling milk from the heat and gradually add the cornstarch mixture while stirring. Return to the stove and simmer for 1 minute over low heat, stirring constantly
Remove the vanilla pod and pour the pudding into a bowl. Serve with frozen berries if desired
