Easy Homemade Noodles with Spicy Peanut Sauce
Ingredients
Noodles
- 320g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 160 grams room temperature water
For cooking noodles
- 4 quarts water
- 2 tablespoons sea salt
- sesame oil
Spicy peanut sauce
- 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon chili oil
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup or sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Preparation
Mix flour and salt in a bowl, then gradually add water to form a dough.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough using a rolling pin to the desired thickness.
Cut the rolled dough into noodle shapes.
Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil and add 2 tablespoons sea salt.
Cook the noodles in the boiling water until al dente, about 2-3 minutes.
Drain the noodles and toss with sesame oil to prevent sticking.
In a small bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, peanut butter, chili oil, sesame oil, maple syrup or sugar, and salt to make the sauce.
Serve the cooked noodles topped with the spicy peanut sauce.
