Gado-Gado Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- fresh ginger
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3/4 cup of peanut butter
- 1tbsp maple syrup
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups of water
- tamari sauce
- 1tbsp cayenne pepper
- salt
- smoked paprika
- bay leaves
Preparation
In a saucepan cook the onions , garlic, chopped ginger with a splash of water until brown
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix, add a bay leaf
Let it simmer for 20min on low heat until it thickens
You can either cook tofu or tempeh chunks in the sauce or serve with vegetables
