Gado-Gado Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • fresh ginger
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3/4 cup of peanut butter
  • 1tbsp maple syrup
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups of water
  • tamari sauce
  • 1tbsp cayenne pepper
  • salt
  • smoked paprika
  • bay leaves

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan cook the onions , garlic, chopped ginger with a splash of water until brown

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix, add a bay leaf

  3. Let it simmer for 20min on low heat until it thickens

  4. You can either cook tofu or tempeh chunks in the sauce or serve with vegetables
