Homemade Vegan Tuna with Chickpeas
Ingredients
- 2 cups of chickpeas
- 1 sheet nori seaweed
- 2 shallots
- 1 stalk spring onion
- a pinch of salt and pepper
Optional
- 1 tbsp tahini or vegan mayo
Preparation
Finely chop the shallots.
Chop the spring onion.
To make the seaweed powder, place dried seaweed in a coffee or spice grinder and pulse until it turns into powder, or finely chop the nori sheet with a knife.
Mash the cooked chickpeas with a fork.
Add salt, pepper, shallots, spring onion, seaweed powder, and 2-3 tablespoons of water, then mix to combine.
Alternatively, place the cooked chickpeas, salt, pepper, shallots, spring onion, seaweed powder, and 2-3 tablespoons of water in a food processor and process until well combined.
