Stuffed Medjool Dates Healthy Snack Idea
Ingredients
- a few medjool dates
- nut butters (peanut, almond, or hazelnut)
- dark chocolate
- roasted hazelnuts (optional)
- coconut chips (optional)
- freeze-dried raspberries (optional)
- cacao nibs (optional)
- sea salt (optional)
Preparation
Cut open the medjool dates, remove the stone, and fill them with nut butter of your choice. Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
Melt a small amount of dark chocolate and prepare desired toppings, such as roasted hazelnuts, coconut chips, freeze-dried raspberries, cacao nibs, or sea salt.
Remove the dates from the freezer, drizzle with the melted chocolate, and decorate with the toppings. Store in the freezer.
Note: Medjool dates are soft and taste like caramel, making this a healthy alternative to candy that can be used as a gift or treat.
