Sweet Heat Cauliflower Wings
Ingredients
- 1 cauliflower head
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 3 tbs of corn starch
- 1 tbs of dried basil
- 1/2 tbs minced onion powder
- 1/2 tbs of garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp of cumin
- Salt/pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cup of non-dairy milk
- 3 tbs of sriracha sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
- 2-3 cups of bread crumbs
- 2 cups of cooking oil
Sweet heat sauce
- 1/2 cup of sriracha
- 1/2 cup of Agave nectar
Preparation
Cook cauliflower in water in a hot pot for 10-15 minutes until slightly soft, but do not overcook it.
Add oil to a pot and heat it to 375 degrees on medium heat.
While the cauliflower is cooking and the oil is pre-heating, add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Add non-dairy milk and sriracha sauce, mix well, and set aside.
Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized pieces.
Coat the cauliflower with the batter.
Set up a plate and add bread crumbs to it.
Roll the battered cauliflower in the bread crumbs.
Cook the cauliflower until golden brown.
Once ready, place it on a baking sheet.
In another mixing bowl, add sriracha and agave nectar and mix well.
Drizzle the sweet heat sauce over the crunchy cauliflower.
