Vegan Beauty Seed Granola Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnut halves and pieces
  • oats (quantity not specified in step 1)
  • unsweetened coconut flakes (quantity not specified)

  • 1/4 cup flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds

Preparation

  1. Place 1 cup walnut halves and pieces, oats, and unsweetened coconut flakes into a food processor and blend until finely ground.

  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add 1/2 cup oats, 1/4 cup flax seeds, 1/4 cup hemp seeds, 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds, 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil, 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup brown rice syrup, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

  3. Mix everything together and transfer the mixture to a pan. Use a spatula or your fingers to press the mixture down evenly.

  4. Bake for 28 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the edges are golden.

Diet notes

  1. Optionally use sugar-free pancake syrup as a substitute for brown rice syrup to reduce sugar content.

  2. This recipe may not be suitable for individuals in the early stages of the Candida diet due to natural sugar content.
