Vegan Beauty Seed Granola Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup walnut halves and pieces
- oats (quantity not specified in step 1)
- unsweetened coconut flakes (quantity not specified)
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/4 cup flax seeds
- 1/4 cup hemp seeds
- 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds
- 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown rice syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Place 1 cup walnut halves and pieces, oats, and unsweetened coconut flakes into a food processor and blend until finely ground.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add 1/2 cup oats, 1/4 cup flax seeds, 1/4 cup hemp seeds, 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds, 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil, 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup brown rice syrup, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Mix everything together and transfer the mixture to a pan. Use a spatula or your fingers to press the mixture down evenly.
Bake for 28 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the edges are golden.
Diet notes
Optionally use sugar-free pancake syrup as a substitute for brown rice syrup to reduce sugar content.
This recipe may not be suitable for individuals in the early stages of the Candida diet due to natural sugar content.
