Vegan Chocolate Cake with Pears
Ingredients
- 200 g whole grain spelt flour
- 35 g raw cocoa powder
- 80 g dark chocolate
- 100 g xylitol or erythritol
- 1/2 package baking powder
- 240 ml water
- 120 ml sunflower oil
- 3 pears
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C upper and lower heat.
In a bowl, mix the whole grain spelt flour, raw cocoa powder, xylitol, and baking powder.
Add the water and sunflower oil and stir well until a smooth batter forms.
Melt the dark chocolate over a water bath and stir it into the batter. If desired, add extra chocolate pieces.
Pour the batter into a loaf pan and press the pears into the cake batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
