Baked Sudanese Pistachio Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter
- 3/4 cup fine-grained sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup ground Sudanese pistachio
For decoration
- powdered sugar
Preparation
Set the middle rack in the oven, preheat the oven to 180°C, and prepare shallow baking sheets.
In the mixer bowl, place butter and sugar, attach the beater, and run on medium speed for 3 minutes until the mixture is light and creamy.
Add flour and pistachio, and run on medium speed until a cohesive dough forms.
Shape the dough into medium-sized fingers or as preferred.
Place the fingers on the sheets leaving an inch between each.
Bake the Sudanese pistachio biscuits for 15 minutes until the bottom is light golden.
Remove biscuits from oven and immediately sprinkle generously with powdered sugar while still hot.
Let biscuits cool completely then serve.
