Crunchy Baklava Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup butter, melted
Filling
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnish
- Pistachios
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Prepare a large baking dish.
Brush the phyllo sheets with melted butter, stack them together, crumple if necessary, roll into a log, place in the dish, and repeat with the remaining sheets. Pour the remaining butter over the phyllo.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until the baklava is golden.
For the filling: In a bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, milk, eggs, cinnamon, cardamom, and vanilla extract and whisk until mixed.
Remove the dish from the oven, pour the filling over it, and return to the oven for another 20 minutes until golden.
Sprinkle with pistachios and serve.
