Vanilla Cake with Cream Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 200 grams cream cheese at room temperature
- 1 cup butter at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 7 cups powdered sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 2/3 cup water
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
Grease a tube pan with butter and dust with flour, then set aside
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then set aside
In a mixer bowl, place the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla, attach the whisk attachment and beat, adding sugar alternately with milk
Take 1 cup of this mixture, cover with plastic wrap, and set aside for later use as sauce to decorate the cake, ensuring to measure accurately
To the remaining mixture, add the eggs gradually while continuing to beat
Add the flour mixture alternately with the water and beat until the cake batter is uniform
Pour the batter into the prepared pan
Bake for 45 minutes or until done
Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool
Place the cake on a serving plate, add the reserved sauce to fill the cake cavity, and serve
