Brazilian Chocolate Biscuit Dessert Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) can condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 100g chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 package Maria biscuits
  • powdered sugar, for dusting

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, mix condensed milk, butter, chopped semi-sweet chocolate, and cocoa powder

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture leaves the bottom of the pan

  3. Turn off the heat and mix in the coarsely broken Maria biscuits

  4. Transfer the mixture to a dish or pan lined with parchment paper

  5. Smooth with a spatula to make it even, and refrigerate until firm

  6. Once chilled, cut into squares, roll in powdered sugar, and serve

Tips

  1. If you don't have powdered sugar, blend granulated sugar in a blender until very fine to make your own
