Brazilian Chocolate Straw Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 8 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 tablespoon margarine
- 1 package Maria biscuits
- powdered sugar, for dusting
Preparation
Chop the Maria biscuits into small pieces and set aside.
Combine sweetened condensed milk, margarine, and cocoa powder in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the bottom of the pan.
Stir in the chopped Maria biscuits until a dough forms, then remove from heat.
Grease a baking pan or smooth surface with margarine and pour the mixture onto it.
Flatten the mixture by patting with the palm of your hand.
Let cool, then cut into small squares.
Dust with powdered sugar.
