The Best and Creamiest Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas (about 265g drained weight)
- 3-4 ice cubes
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 clove garlic
- Pepper and salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons creamy tahini
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Garnishes
- extra virgin olive oil
- pomegranate seeds
Preparation
Rinse the chickpeas well. Then lay them on a clean tea towel and rub them dry with another tea towel.
You will see that the skins come off. Remove the skins and then put the chickpeas in the food processor.
Add the remaining ingredients and blend for at least 4 minutes. The longer, the better and creamier the hummus becomes.
Taste and add more pepper, salt, cumin powder, lemon, or olive oil if needed. Then scoop out of the food processor and put it in a bowl.
Garnish with olive oil and pomegranate seeds. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days.
