Easy Su Boregi Style Boreks
Ingredients
- 5 ready phyllo sheets
Sauce
- Almost 1 cup milk
- Almost 1 cup vegetable oil
- Almost 1 cup water
- 1 egg yolk for brushing on top
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 3 tablespoons flour
Filling
- Parsley
- White cheese (non-melting variety)
Preparation
Prepare the sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients together.
Prepare the filling by combining the parsley and white cheese.
Take one phyllo sheet and lay it flat.
Spread some of the sauce evenly over the phyllo sheet.
Sprinkle the parsley and cheese filling on top of the sauced phyllo.
Shape the phyllo by rolling or folding it to enclose the filling.
Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets.
Arrange the shaped boreks on a baking tray.
Brush the tops of the boreks with the egg yolk.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown and crispy.
