Easy and Tasty Brazilian Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients
- 4 cups sweet tapioca starch (requeijΓ£o cup size)
- 3 cups grated cheese
- 1 cup cold milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup oil (2 fingers short of full)
- salt to taste
Preparation
Moisten the sweet tapioca starch with cold milk and knead with hands until crumbly
Heat the oil well and pour over the moistened tapioca starch (knead as you go)
Add the cheese and eggs and knead well until firm
Shape into balls or as preferred
Add salt only if preferred (sometimes the salt in the cheese is sufficient)
Bake in a preheated oven until slightly golden (do not overbake as it may become hard; the dough should be firm but not hard; if needed, add an extra egg)
