Brazilian Cream and Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 (300g) container nata (heavy cream)
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 measures (using the nata container) sweet cassava flour (polvilho doce)
  • 3 measures (using the nata container) grated cured cheese
  • 1 measure (using the nata container) milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 dessertspoon salt (adjust if cheese is salty)

Preparation

  1. Place cassava flour and salt in a large bowl

  2. Moisten with nata and butter; mix until the flour dust settles

  3. Add grated cheese

  4. Make a well in the center and add a small amount of milk

  5. Gradually add the eggs and the remaining milk, mixing continuously

  6. Knead the dough vigorously until smooth and firm enough to roll

  7. Preheat oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F)

  8. Shape the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet

  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown

  1. The salt amount may be adjusted based on the saltiness of the cheese
