Homemade Sausage Shaped Bread
Ingredients
- 500g high-protein bread flour
- 70g caster sugar
- 30g milk powder
- 1 teaspoon bread improver
- 1 teaspoon dough softener
- 7g yeast
- 1 egg and 280-300ml cold water (combined)
- 60g butter or margarine
- A pinch of salt
Preparation
Grease the baking pan for placing the shaped dough
Combine all ingredients and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic
Shape the dough and let it proof until it doubles in size
Bake at 170 degrees Celsius until fully cooked
Notes
Kneading may take 25-30 minutes if using a breadmaker
