Pandan Cheese Steamed Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon ovalette
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 1/2 cup liquid milk
- Green food coloring (half cap)
- Pandan essence (1 large cap)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Cream cheese mixture
- 250 grams cream cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Preparation
Mix sugar, eggs, and ovalette until fluffy and white
Add cooking oil, liquid milk, green food coloring, and pandan essence
Mix until well combined
Add flour and baking powder and mix briefly but not too long
Stop mixing and fold the mixture
Steam the cake for 30 minutes on medium heat with boiling water and cover the steamer head with a cloth
Cream cheese
Mix cream cheese, milk, and sweetened condensed milk until fluffy, adjust sweetness to taste
Assembly
After the cake is cooked, wait until it is completely cool
For layering, remove the cake from the pan, place it on a plate, cut or split it in the middle, add cream cheese mixture, then place the cut piece back on top, add more cream cheese mixture, and spread evenly
Tips
Do not use baking soda
Ensure the measurements of oil and liquid milk are not exceeded
