Vegan Baked Doughnuts with Cinnamon Coating
Ingredients
- 200g plain flour
- 50g dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Maca powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Pinch of bicarbonate of soda
- 50ml rapeseed oil
- 220ml plant milk
- Sugar and cinnamon for coating
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180C and grease a doughnut pan.
Measure all the dry ingredients into a bowl and stir well.
Add the oil and milk and mix until smooth.
Spoon into the doughnut moulds and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the tin and dip immediately into a bowl of sugar with a little cinnamon mixed in.
Leave to cool on a wire rack or eat warm.
Tips
You can dip the doughnuts in icing if available instead of sugar and cinnamon.
Maca powder can be omitted or substituted with cocoa powder or another superfood powder.
If no doughnut mould is available, make mini cupcakes instead.
The mixture yields about 9 doughnuts.
