Vegan Chocolate Yeast Buns Again

Ingredients

  • 130g soy quark(curd/thick yogurt)
  • 17g fresh yeast
  • 30g vegan margarine (room temperature)
  • 50g sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 50ml warm water
  • 300g flour
  • 60g chocolate drops (dark)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Mix soy quark with the water and sugar

  2. Add dry yeast, stir and let it rest for 2 min

  3. Mix flour and salt and add the yeast mixture and margarine

  4. Knead to a dough

  5. Let it rest for 30-60 min (in a warm place, not over 40°C)

  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) upper and lower heat

  7. Knead the dough again (~5 min) and fold in the chocolate drops

  8. Form little buns, spread some diluted date or coconutblossum syrup over them (optional for the color) and bake them for ~20 min

  9. They taste the best when they are still a little warm. I've added the filling with an icing bag
