Vegan Potato-Based Cheese for Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon tapioca starch
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 2 cups cooked, diced, and drained potatoes (about 300g)

Preparation

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon tapioca starch, 1/3 cup nutritional yeast, and 1 teaspoon salt in 1 cup full-fat coconut milk until the starch is completely dissolved.

  2. Blend this mixture with 2 cups cooked, diced, and drained potatoes while they are still hot.

  3. The mixture should be thick, creamy, and gooey.

  4. Top your pizza, lasagna, toast, or other preferred food with the cheese and bake at 180°C or 350°F until golden brown.
