Crispy Indonesian Corn Fritters
Ingredients
- 4 grated ears of corn
- 1 sliced small onion
- 1 thinly sliced green onion
- 2 thinly sliced celery stalks
- Flour
- 1 chicken egg
- 1 teaspoon mushroom stock
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Oil for frying
- Water for batter
Ground spices
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Take part of the grated corn and mash it, then place it in a small bowl.
Add the ground spices, sliced onion, green onion, celery, flour, water, mushroom stock, and egg; mix well until evenly combined. If the mixture is not salty enough, add a little more salt.
Heat oil in a pan. When hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil, fry until crispy, then remove and drain.
