Indonesian Clear Spinach Soup
Ingredients
- 1 bunch spinach
- 1/2 carrot
- Water as needed
Spices
- 5 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 finger-sized piece of fingerroot
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Seasoning to taste
Preparation
Prepare the spinach by picking the leaves, soaking in salted water for 30 minutes, washing, and draining.
Cut the carrot as desired.
Smash the fingerroot.
In a pot, add water and spices together.
Bring to a boil.
Add the carrot and cook until soft.
Add the spinach and cook briefly.
Adjust the seasoning to taste and serve.
