Spiced Chickpea and Avocado Toast
Ingredients
- 4 slices bread
- 1 large avocado
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp mild chili powder
- Pinch of turmeric
Preparation
Mash the avocado with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
Rinse and pat dry the chickpeas.
Roast the chickpeas in olive oil at 180°C/360°F for 20 minutes until crunchy.
Remove from oven and toss with the spices.
Return to oven for a few more minutes to absorb the flavor.
Serve on top of toast with the mashed avocado and a squeeze of lime.
