Simple Sardine Salad Sandwich or Dip
Ingredients
- 2 cans Sardines
- 3-4 tbsp Mayo
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil if not using sardines packed in oil
- 4 tbsp capers, chopped
- 1/2 cup diced celery and red onion
- Bunch of chopped parsley or cilantro
- Pinch of sea salt and a grind of black pepper
Preparation
Mash up the sardines in a bowl.
Add all the remaining ingredients.
Mix everything together well.
Serve as a sandwich on toasted bread with avocado or as a dip with crackers.
Note: You can halve the recipe if you want a smaller portion.
