One Jam Doughnut

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (white, thick is best but any will do)
  • 1 tbsp any jam or fruit purée
  • 1 tbsp margarine, oil, coconut oil or low fat cooking spray
  • 1 tbsp any sugar or sweetener

Preparation

  1. Place two slices of bread on a chopping board and place a spoonful of jam in the centre of one slice

  2. Put the second slice on top and use the bottom of a mug or glass to cut a round circle (like a cookie cutter)

  3. Press the edges down to make a pocket

  4. Put the butter in a hot frying pan and then pop the doughnut into it, flipping until golden

  5. Take the doughnut out of the pan and roll in sugar
