Satiated Winter Rice Salad

Ingredients

  • Rice
  • Tomatoes
  • Bell pepper
  • Onion
  • Carrot
  • Sugar
  • Vegetable oil
  • Vinegar
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. Wash the vegetables. Cut tomatoes and pepper arbitrarily, onion into half-rings, and grate carrot on a large grater.

  2. Put all vegetables in a large pot, salt to taste, and leave for 15 minutes.

  3. Bring vegetables to a boil over medium heat.

  4. Scald rice with boiling water and add it to the vegetables along with sugar and vegetable oil.

  5. Cook on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring periodically.

  6. Add vinegar 5 minutes before the salad is ready, adjusting the amount to taste.

  7. Spread the hot salad into sterilized jars and seal immediately.

  8. Turn the jars upside down, wrap in a blanket, and leave until completely cool.
