Indonesian Corn Rice Dish

Ingredients

  • 100 grams corn rice
  • 50 grams white glutinous rice
  • 150 grams rice
  • water for the mixture
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  1. Wash the corn rice until clean. Soak separately the corn rice and glutinous rice for about 3 hours or more, then drain.

  2. Cook the corn rice separately in 200ml water and the glutinous rice in 100ml water until the water evaporates and it becomes a mixture, then remove.

  3. Cook the rice with 200ml water until the water evaporates and it becomes a mixture, then remove.

  4. Mix the three mixtures together, add salt, and stir.

  5. Bring water to a boil in a steamer. Place the mixture into the steamer and steam until cooked, about 30 minutes, then remove. Serve with your favorite side dishes.
