Three-Ingredient Brazilian Pastry Snacks

Ingredients

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can heavy cream, 300g
  • 2 1/4 cups (320g) all-purpose flour
  • Salt to taste

Filling

  • Filling of choice

Preparation

  1. Mix heavy cream, flour, and salt until a homogeneous dough forms

  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth

  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes

  4. Roll the dough thin and cut into 7 cm diameter discs

  5. Place a portion of filling on each disc, fold in half to form a half-moon, and seal the edges with a fork

Cooking options

  1. Fry the pastries in hot oil until golden brown, then drain on paper towels

  2. Alternatively, brush with beaten egg and bake in a 180Β°C (350Β°F) oven until golden brown
