Almond Crusted Tofu Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed and sliced into sticks

Dry coating

  • 2 TBSP arrowroot powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • pinch of salt

Wet mixture

  • 1/4 C almond milk
  • 2 TBSP apple cider vinegar
  • 1 TBSP liquid aminos or soy sauce

Crumb coating

  • 1/2 C bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven or air fryer to 375 degrees.

  2. Using a fork, dip each tofu stick in each bowl to coat in the order listed.

  3. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  4. Optionally spray with a light coat of olive oil for extra crispness.

  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  6. Serve with dipping sauces of choice.

Tips

  1. Use any plant-based milk for the wet mixture.

  2. Bread crumbs can be made by pulsing almonds in a food processor.

  3. Pair with sauces like spicy marinara, Buffalo, honey mustard, sweet chili garlic, or ranch for added flavor.
