Almond Crusted Tofu Bites
Ingredients
- 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed and sliced into sticks
Dry coating
- 2 TBSP arrowroot powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- pinch of salt
Wet mixture
- 1/4 C almond milk
- 2 TBSP apple cider vinegar
- 1 TBSP liquid aminos or soy sauce
Crumb coating
- 1/2 C bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preparation
Preheat oven or air fryer to 375 degrees.
Using a fork, dip each tofu stick in each bowl to coat in the order listed.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Optionally spray with a light coat of olive oil for extra crispness.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serve with dipping sauces of choice.
Tips
Use any plant-based milk for the wet mixture.
Bread crumbs can be made by pulsing almonds in a food processor.
Pair with sauces like spicy marinara, Buffalo, honey mustard, sweet chili garlic, or ranch for added flavor.
