Sausage and Beans Croque Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Warburtons UK super toastie
  • Butter
  • 2 Cauldron Foods Lincolnshire sausages
  • Morrisons baked beans
  • Pilgrims Choice mature cheddar
  • 1 egg
  • Hellmanns UK chilli and garlic sauce
  • Sea salt
  • Chives
  • Chilli flakes

Preparation

  1. Split and fry the sausages until cooked

  2. Cook the baked beans until heated through

  3. Grate the mature cheddar cheese

  4. Butter the outside of the super toastie bread

  5. Layer the sausages, beans, and cheese between the buttered bread in a hot frying pan

  6. Cook until the underside is golden, then flip and cook the other side

  7. Transfer to a baking tray, top with a fried egg and additional grated cheese

  8. Bake in a hot oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly

Tips

  1. Be patient with cooking to avoid a pasty topside

  2. Adjust seasonings like chilli flakes and salt to taste for desired spice level
