Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 250 grams beef
  • 1 head broccoli
  • 2 carrots
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Hot broth, as needed
  • Sugar and salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Marinade

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • Thumb-sized piece of ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper

Preparation

  1. Slice the beef thinly, then marinate it with the marinade ingredients and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  2. Cut the broccoli into florets, wash it, soak in salted water briefly, rinse with running water, and drain.

  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan, add the marinated beef and onion, and stir until the beef changes color. Add hot broth and cook the beef to desired doneness, adding carrots and broccoli at appropriate times to avoid overcooking. Stir in the cornstarch dissolved in water to thicken the sauce slightly, adjust seasoning with sugar and salt to taste, and serve.
