Caramelized Banana Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup gluten free oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 cup milk of choice

Toppings

  • banana
  • peanut butter
  • sea salt
  • cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Stir together all oatmeal ingredients in one pot.

  2. Bring to almost a boil, then immediately reduce heat to simmer and stir frequently until thick and creamy.

  3. Slice the banana and caramelize it in a pan with a little butter and sugar until golden

  4. Add the caramelized banana, peanut butter, sea salt, and cinnamon as toppings to the oatmeal bowl
