Chocolate Spiced Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of ground ginger
  • pinch of turmeric
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced or mashed
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tsp sweetener of choice (optional but i recommend)

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer

  2. Stir to combine well and allow to cook and thicken for at least 5 minutes

  3. Remove from stove top and allow to sit as your prep your toppings

  4. Stir once more before serving then top as desired
