Chocolate Spiced Oats
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp ground flax seed
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of ground ginger
- pinch of turmeric
- 1 ripe banana, sliced or mashed
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tsp sweetener of choice (optional but i recommend)
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer
Stir to combine well and allow to cook and thicken for at least 5 minutes
Remove from stove top and allow to sit as your prep your toppings
Stir once more before serving then top as desired
