Easy Vegan Lentil Patties

Ingredients

  • 250 grams red lentils
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable stock powder
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked salt or normal
  • 30 grams oatmeal
  • 40 grams whole grain spelt flour or other

Preparation

  1. Wash the lentils well and then boil them in approximately 500 ml broth for approximately 7 minutes (depending on the variety, add a little water if necessary). The lentils shouldn't be too soft or soggy. The excess broth remains in the pot.

  2. Roughly puree some of the lentils with a stick blender.

  3. Cut garlic and onion into small pieces and knead all the ingredients together. Form small patties with your hands (it works best with wet hands).

  4. Fry the patties crispy with a little oil in a well-coated pan.

  5. Serve with sauces or dips of your choice.
