Indian Roasted Chana Dal Chutney
Ingredients
- 1 cup roasted Chana dal
- Tamarind
- 2 green chilies
- Cilantro
- Salt to taste
Tempering
- Curry leaves
- Red chilies
- Cumin seeds
- Mustard seeds
Preparation
Blend the roasted Chana dal, tamarind, green chilies and cilantro in a blender and transfer to a bowl.
Heat some oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves, and let them splutter, then add this to the blended Chana dal mixture.
Notes
Chana dal is high in protein and goes well with all breakfast items.
This chutney is delicious and pairs perfectly with steamed idli.
