Kimchi Fried Rice with Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl white rice
  • 4 tablespoons coarsely chopped kimchi
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • 2 stalks chopped green onions
  • 1 clove finely chopped garlic
  • 1/2 onion thinly sliced
  • 70 grams coarsely ground beef seasoned with soy sauce, sugar, salt, pepper powder, and a little cornstarch
  • 2 beaten eggs

Preparation

  1. Heat the wok and sesame oil, then sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.

  2. Add the beef and stir-fry briefly.

  3. Then add gochujang followed by the egg, and stir until evenly mixed.

  4. Add the rice, kimchi, and half of the green onions, and stir until well mixed.

  5. Use high heat to release the aroma.

  6. Don't forget to check the seasoning.

  7. After cooking, sprinkle with the remaining green onions and sesame, then serve.

Notes

  1. It should be served with roasted seaweed, but it was not used here due to unavailability.
